Good Morning at SEV
Last year, seventh grade students of Tarsus SEV Middle School took ownership of the Turkish language and placed emphasis on the sensitivity of using Turkish correctly through a project named “Turkish Doesn’t Have Anything Missing; How About You?” This fall, our students aimed to create awareness about using correct Turkish with another project. They hung posters around the school and on the service buses wıth the theme focus of “Importance of Daily Communication” and followed up with a live broadcast on the radio.
Later in the day, our students participated in a lunchtime rally with the banners and posters they had prepared showing messages about communication. After the rally, an indicator of the rally’s success in meeting its goal was seeing students smile at each other and hearing them use daily communication greetings such as “good morning” and “good afternoon.”
