We celebrated European language day with joy and interdisciplinary activities. Our aim is alerting students to the importance of language learning and diversifying the range of languages learnt in order to increase plurilingualism and intercultural understanding promoting the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe, which must be preserved and fostered, encouraging lifelong language learning in and out of school, whether for study purposes, for professional needs, for purposes of mobility or for pleasure and exchanges. We did a poster in our Social study class. In our English classes, the students learnt how to say ‘ Hello’  in different languages. The students who watched short films and Power Points also participated in quiz shows related to European language day. In Art classes they matched the flag and the names of countries and in Music classes students learnt about the music genres and where they belong to.
