Tarsus SEV Middle School Robotic club students who have worked hard since the beginning of the year attended the Intenational First Lego League (FLL) tournament lead by “Bilim Kahramanları Buluşuyor” institution. Our students have had the opportunity to develop their skills using technology.

58 teams attended the 12th FLL tournament hosted by Hacettepe University. The teams competed with each other and represented their schools. Tarsus SEV Middle School teams’ TRASH and LEGO developed a project with the theme of “A solution to trash with trash”

The teams have represented their school at project, robot design and core values with success.

Our students have designed a bench which prevents pollution and also recycles. With the project they tried to find a solution for the environmenal and community problems. The Municipality of Tarsus supported the project and piloted it in a park by putting these benches. With the help of the Hürriyet newspaper, our students had a chance to show Turkey, just how large this project was.

The team leaders believe that the students have had a chance to progress their personal development  during the FLL and continued to say that the students have combined mechanical design and coding.  Most importantly they have learned the importance of team spirit.  We would like to thank and congratulate our Robotic Club students and hope they will continue to be successful in the future.
