At Tarsus SEV, second foreign language program starts at grade 4. At the end of their grade 8 year, students take either "FIT in Deutsch" or "DELF" exam in their second foreign language.
In grades 6, 7, 8, students take 2 hours of second foreign language per week. In German lesson, the textbooks are Wir 1 and Wir 2, while in French the Expo 1 and Expo 2 books are used. In addition to the content of the textbooks, learning is enriched by language games, songs and various cultural projects. One example to such activities much-loved by students in "Animal Project", where each student picks an animal and introduces the animal on a large poster or dummy while answering questions from their friends. Students are given opportunities to use and display their learning through new year cards, bookmarkers, video filming, and drama performances.
