Grade 6

In this grade level, the general topics of interest are as follows: 

• Development of social studies in our country, basic concepts of this discipline and the work of Ataturk in this field,
• The geographical conditions which sustain life and first civilizations,
• The first periods of the Turkish History,
• The place of Turkey in the world with its demographic, social and economic structure,
• The concept of democracy, governance systems, the development of democracy in Turkey and the emphasis placed on democracy by Ataturk,
• The function of the branches of Social Studies in our lives, the development and use of technology which is an integral part of all aspects of our lives.

Grade 7  

• The importance of communication, strategies to build strong communication, the place of mass communication tools in our lives, and the work of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in mass communication,
• The concept of migration and its causes, factors which play an important role in population distribution, the concept of social state and the progress made by the Republic of Turkey in this area,
• The Turkish settlement in Anatolia, the first states, the contribution of Ottoman history and Turkish culture to Anatolia,
• The first discoveries which are important for the whole mankind, and their contribution to life in general,
• The economic structure in our country and the world, the important cornerstones, the concept of foundation which applies to every aspect of life,
• The concept of democracy, the stages of democratization in Turkey, and the steps taken by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk towards democratization,
• International relations, First World War, current global problems and our responsibility in their resolution, and the steps to be taken to protect the global heritage.

Grade 8

• The roles played by the social environment, education, duties and assigments and personal traits of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in his development as a leader who influenced history,
• The state of the Ottoman Empire during World War I and in the following stages; the organization of the national campaign for independence in the invaded Turkish land under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk,
• The stage of fronts in the National Campaign for Independence, our victory and the ensuing diplomatic period,
• The endeavors of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and the Turkish people to organize and modernize the new state after gaining independence,
• Ataturk principles as the foundation and roadmap of the Republic of Turkey,
• Turkish foreign relations following the war, the resolution of issues from the years of warfare, and the principle of "Peace at Home, Peace in the World" as a foreign relations policy,
• The important developments in Turkey and the world after Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, World War II and Cold War.
