Tarsus SEV Elementary Schools, the pioneer of modern education in Turkey, hosted the Education Symposium for the fifth time which has become a tradition. On Saturday, March 24th teachers who attended the symposium from around Turkey, discussed education problems in our country and ways to improve the quality of education.

 

The symposium prepared with the slogan of "Learn, Teach, Enlighten" started with the speeches of Tarsus SEV Elementary School Principal Çiğdem Özyürekoğlu and Tarsus SEV Middle School Principal Ayfer Aydın. Mehmet Kalaycı, the director of national education in Tarsus, shared the life stories of some well-known educators around the world and continued by adding that teaching is a difficult profession that requires sacrifices. Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Physiology Department specialist, Serkan Karaismailoğlu also made a presentation under the heading of 'Neuro-Teacher', emphasizing the emotional aspect of the learner and conveying the current research results related to the subject

 

After the opening speeches, educators gave presentations and shared information in Turkish and English at the sessions. Pre-school, primary and secondary school levels, administrators and academicians of universities and university students attended the symposium. The educators who also visited the technology corridor and saw the technological exhibitions of the students expressed that it was a productive and enjoyable day.
