Children's Day Excitement in Tarsus SEV

The ceremony for the Children's Day, which also marked the 95th anniversary of the first assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, incorporated various festivities and stage arts.

The preparations towards the big celebration for April 23rd started with our decision in February to prepare a "Countries and Cultures" project. Each class picked a country, and they delved deeper into the culture of that country, organized arts activities and rehearsed dances which reflect that culture.

The students took turns in staging their performances with the pride of being the children entrusted with the future of the country by our great leader, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

While the chorus of students from A-4 sang about global peace with "May There Always Be Sunshine", they also brought Turkish patriotic tunes to the event with "Bir Başkadır Benim Memleketim" and "Onuncu Yıl Marşı".

At the end of the assembly, Tarsus SEV students continued to enjoy the festivities of the day in the playgrounds set up in the garden and with the pinatas they had prepared.
