We have celebrated the teachers’ day with joyful activities of all grade levels, playing and singing songs that our great leader enjoyed with an emphasis on how much attention he paid on education. We have listened to the feelings of our youngest and the oldest teachers. Our students were carried away with the teachers’ choir. And the celebrations came to an end with joy and excitement.
Today is the day that our great leader Atatürk was entitled as the Head Teacher of the National Schools on the 24th of November, 1982. It has been celebrated as the teachers’ day since 24th of November, 1981.
The profession of teaching is the most honorable path that a person can take. As long as the world exists, the most honorable profession will be teaching. No matter how much we praise them, it is still not enough to express our gratitude since they are the nameless heroes of the humanity.
A teacher is a person who has child and human love in his hearth. He educates the child with the skill of a blessed artist. The holiest task of all is teaching both in the past and in the future. “Teachers! The republic is expecting you to educate generations with freedom of thought, conscience and knowledge.
