Science Superheroes Come Together! First Lego League is a scientific international tournament leg in Turkey with a participation of over 40,000 teams whose ages range from 9-16, in the world from 80 countries.  This league enables the children to see themselves as "engineers and scientists who are socially responsive".

As Tarsus SEV Elementary School we have participated in this tournament with the team named “The Future of Space”. Our team worked a minimum of 1.5 - 2 hours a week since the beginning of the year, with the guidance of their coaches, and has designed and programmed a robot that does the tasks on the tournament table. They worked on two projects. Their first project was a project for the poisoning of carbon dioxide that astronauts faced in space travel. They developed a carbon dioxide alarm system. Their second project aimed to produce nutrients and oxygen for a potential colony in Mars. They tried to produce Spirulina which is a bacteria that photosynthesises. During this journey, they have gained achievements such as teamwork, sharing, learning friendly competition rules, focusing on time management. Students who participated in tournaments; had fun, process-oriented experience in the fields of science, art and technology, as well as expression, listening, presentation, sharing and teamwork. These experiences encouraged them to imagine themselves as scientists, engineers, active entrepreneurs and sensitive citizens of the future.
