In order to observe the importance of hand hygiene in our health, ‘the potato experiment’ has been conducted. At the end of the experiment, we have talked about the importance of having clean hands with our students.

The making of the experiment: A potato is peeled and divided into two. One half of the potato is washed and put on a plate. Then it is kept in a jar. All of the students take the other half and make it dirty by holding it and passing it from hand to hand. This half is also kept in a jar. Then we wait for a couple of days. While the clean potato stays just the same, the dirty one has already become dark.
