Our 1st grade students were really impressed with how Rıza, the protagonist of our book, turned into a jolly character from an angry spider with his creative solution. They produced their own colorful spiders in creativity class. They not only decorated the hallways with these spiders, but also learned a lot about spiders’ creative web designs which cannot be mimicked even with today’s technology.

We want to share what we have learned about spiders.

*A spider web is 2 times more durable than a steel wire. Besides, it will revert back to its original state no matter how long it is elongated.

*There are almost 34 thousand spider species on Earth.

*The largest spider species is the Goliath Tarantula spider discovered in South America with a leg length of 30 cm.

*Spiders have 8 eyes and 8 legs. If any of their legs is broken, it will be replaced with a new one.
