At Tarsus SEV, the catering services for all staff and students are provided by the Sofra Group. The Sofra Group, with its expertise and experience in mass catering services, operates in education under the brand name “Eurest.”

 

Sofra Group has a separate department for catering in schools and follows the EAT-LIVE-LEARN program in all the schools it caters in Turkey simultaneously. Within the framework of this program, which helps students to make healthy selections of food during lunch hours, seminars on healthy nutrition are given to students in schools. 

 

Sofra Group, in providing catering services, takes the following into consideration:

 

• Menus are planned on the basis of health nutrition principles based on the daily calorie requirements of students while emphasis is also given to what students enjoy eating.

• The cafeteria food items do not contain oil which has a negative impact on cardiovascular health. Instead, vegetable, sunflower, and olive oil are used.

• Grilling and mashing in a combination oven instead of frying is the preferred cooking method.

• The use of food ingredients and canned food which contain additives, food coloring, sweeteners, and buillons are prohibited.


The kitchen and the staff are checked for hygiene by internal and external inspections. The cafeteria is also available for inspection by the school administration at any time. The cleaning and disinfection agents are products of worldwide approved companies. Daily disinfection procedures are recorded.
