During this period when social and cultural activities are interrupted due to the pandemic, we, as Tarsus SEV Primary School, did not take a break and continued our learning journey without slowing down.

While our students visit museums online, they will be able to discover new things and continue to nurture their creativity through artistic activities at home. Even though they are isolated from their friends and playgrounds, we support them in exploring virtual museums specially created for children so that they can discover new things and continue to do many activities.

For this purpose, we went to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C, USA to discover the creatures that lived millions of years ago with our 3rd grade students, who are very interested in nature, living things and fossils.

To combine classroom teaching and learning with real life, our students saw real fossils of different dinosaurs and prehistoric animals in the museum. They had fun learning new information about past life while exploring and searching for their favorite dinosaurs. Our students shared their thoughts and what they learned, after this virtual trip, over the padlet application.
