Pi Day is celebrated each year on March 14 by Mathematics fans with various events all around the world. As Tarsus SEV Secondary School Mathematics Department, we tried to make this significant day meaningful for our students. A giant Pi symbol, TT, decorated with balloons and posters for this special day, welcomed our students at the entrance of our school. Our students received Pi cookies specially prepared for the day at lunch time. While the music of Pi played during break time, we shared some relevant information with our students such as what the Pi number is, how it is found, and what is the use of Pi. Our students tried to find their birth dates and telephone passwords within the Pi digits by using ‘Find Your Pi Day’ and ‘Search Pi’ applications. Moreover, they watched various videos related to the Pi number on TVs at our school throughout the day.
