The Winter Festival, which was prepared by the Foreign Languages Department, was celebrated on the 26th of December.  Grades K-4 had an ecstatic time in the auditorium.  First they watched a play that was written, directed and performed by the English teachers, about a lost Santa.  Then an exciting spelling bee final took place, and the winner for 3rd and 4th grade was announced. The students then had the opportunity to sing some traditional New Year songs, including Jingle Bell Rock and Santa Claus is Coming to Town and many more.  The auditorium show was concluded with a wonderfully prepared dance by the 4th graders.

The second part of the Winter Festival was extremely active.  The students had great fun participating in games organised and prepared by the English teachers especially for this event.  The games included throwing snowballs through the holes in the big snowman, racing with skies made from shoe boxes, bowling with snowballs and penguin pins, Santa goalie trying to save goals and throwing hoops around New Year trees.

All in all the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves in this action packed Winter Festival and were upset that it had to come to an end.
